When starting out in photography, getting the opportunity to photograph people can be few and far between. You start asking yourself how can you stand out? The most common answer is "Well if there weren't a million other photographers in my town this would be easy! They are taking all of my clients" The first thing you need to do is loose that mindset. No matter where you go there will be a million other photographers in that town too. If you want to stand out you have to remove that from the equation. The way that you stand out is by simply being different. Then, have patience because its a long journey. Trying to be different can be hard. You're still learning and don't know how deep and creative photography can get. Keep experimenting. Try every type of photography you can. Find something you love, then dive deeper into that! Once you have a much more complex understanding of how something works you can take it apart and start from scratch. Find ways to do something no one else it. Then you will stand out. But it takes patience. A lot of patience. Keep at it, work hard, and dont get discouraged. You'll stand out
